My Story
South Tyneside Young Carers is a fantastic local charity that supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 who provide unpaid care for a family member affected by illness, disability, mental health challenges, or substance misuse. Many of these young people take on responsibilities far beyond their years, often balancing caring duties with school and everyday life. The charity provides vital emotional support, practical advice, fun activities, respite breaks, and opportunities to connect with other young carers, helping them enjoy their childhood while ensuring they don't face their challenges alone. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help South Tyneside Young Carers continue to make a real difference in the lives of these incredible young people and their families.
