My Story
An inspirational friend - Ashley Bayston - set up the Lewy Body Society 20 years ago after nursing her mother through the illness and realising how little was known about it.
It is the second most common type of neurodegenerative dementia in older people ... but you've probably never heard of it.
It affects understanding, thinking, memory and judgement, can cause hallucinations, stiffness of movement, tremors, and distrurbed sleep with violent movements and shouting out.
It requires specialist care and treatment. I'm raising money to fund research and support all those living with this frightening disease.
