My Story

This year I've decided to run the Great North Run for the first time to rasie money and awareness for FND Dimensions, a charity that supoports people living with Functional Neurological Disorder.

FND is a condition where the brain and nervous system stop working properly, but without visible damage like in stroke or mutltiple sclerosis. It can cause a wide range of symptoms, including seizures, paralysis, problems with movement, speech difficulties, chronic pain and fatigue.

As some of you may know, my sister Chelsey is now living with FND and I've seen first-hand how challenging and unpredictable it can be. One day she might seem okay, and the next she can lose the ability to walk, talk, or do everyday things that most of us take for granted. It's frightening, exhausting and often misunderstood. Too often people living with FND face stigma and a lack of proper support. That's why I want to do my bit - to help raise awareness, to make sure more people understand what FND is, and to raise vital funds for FND Dimensions, so they can continue their amazing work supporting people like Chelsey.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, means the world to me and my family. Thank you for helping me make a difference.
