My Story

Why Weโ€™re Running โ€“ Team Haggys

This year, Team Haggys is taking on the Great North Run not just for the challenge, but for a cause that truly changes lives ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

We are fundraising for Support Dogs Sheffield, an incredible charity that provides specially trained assistance dogs for people living with autism, epilepsy, and physical disabilities. These dogs do far more than offer companionship โ€” they provide safety, independence, confidence, and life-changing support to both individuals and their families.

For a child with autism, a support dog can help reduce anxiety, encourage communication, and make everyday situations feel safer.

For someone living with epilepsy, these dogs can alert to seizures, offering vital time to get to a safe place or call for help.

For people with disabilities, they offer practical assistance while restoring confidence and independence.

Training these amazing dogs takes time, expertise, and significant funding โ€” and thatโ€™s where we come in.

Every mile we run is for the families whose lives are transformed by these dogs. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Support Dogs Sheffield continue their incredible work and place more life-changing dogs with those who need them most.

Thank you for supporting Team Haggys, cheering us on, and helping us make a real difference. Letโ€™s do this together ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’™
