Daniel Flannigan's Cancer Cars Fundraiser
Daniel Flannigan
My Story
I have decided to raise money for Cancer Cars by taking part in the Great North Run 2026. Honestly not sure why I didn't just donate to someone much more capable of running than me and get them to do it but here we are.
Cancer Cars is a fantastic service that operates in Berwick upon Tweed and takes numerous people to countless appointments throughout the year. We all unfortunately know someone who has had their life affected by Cancer and I am no exception. I recently lost someone very close to me from Cancer, so if me running (and that is being extremely generous. Honestly more of a quick walk at times) can raise money to help such an important service carry on, then let's do it. I stupidly bought a membership so I sort of have at this point.
Also, whatever I raise for Cancer Cars, I am going to match and personally donate to Edinburgh Sick Kids. For those that don't know, this was the Hospital that treated me and saved my life when I was diagnosed with an Arnold-Chiari Malformation. Without them I would not be here now having panic attacks about September and trying to convince myself that I don't need to buy a Garmin. So, any money you can donate will benefit two amazing Charities and give me the much needed motivation I need.
Thanks x
