My Story

I am running in The Great North Run 2026 for the amazing 'Berwick & District Cancer Support Group', Berwick Cancer Cars.  This valuable local charity provides free transport and support for local people with a confirmed cancer diagnosis.

I'm running and fundraising for Berwick Cancer Cars to give something back after they supported my sister a couple of years ago when she needed treatment for cancer. There were so many journeys to so many different hospitals, I lost count. When you have cancer the last thing you need to worry about is how you are going to get to appointments, especially when you live so far away from main hospitals. But the kind volunteers got my sister there and back countless times and she couldn't have fought cancer without their service. She has come through her battle with cancer, although not unscathed, but sadly there are many others whose journey is just beginning and they need this vital service.

So please give generously to help me raise as much as I can for this incredible service to help them continue to help others.
