Northumberland Wildlife Trust is dedicated to restoring nature and inspiring people to connect with the outdoors across Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside. From windswept coastlines and ancient woodlands to precious wetlands and urban green spaces, we work to ensure wildlife has a future — and that everyone can experience the power of nature.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, in recent years we have:

• Released more than 2,000 water voles back into the wild, a species whose numbers have been declining dramatically
• Restored vital peatlands in Redesdale, locking away carbon and reducing flood risk while creating thriving habitats
• Engaged hundreds of children and young people in wildlife projects and hands-on outdoor activities
• Supported adults with their mental health through our Growing with Nature programme
• Empowered local communities to take action for nature through Nextdoor Nature
• Cared for over 70 nature reserves across the region, protecting wildlife and welcoming people into nature

Thank you for supporting our runners. From the buzz of the Newcastle start line to the iconic Tyne Bridge and the finish by the sea, the Great North Run is an extraordinary experience and without donations from people like you, we wouldn't be able to continue our important work.
